Epsom Automotive is a locally owned business, with over 20 years experience in the automotive industry and is working hard to deliver trustworthy, reliable automotive repairs and service to customers in Epsom and surrounding areas.
We're committed to helping our customers make informed decisions about vehicle service options and car repairs.
The workshop is equipped with all the latest diagnostic scanning technology, is an MTA assured repairer, and we're also experienced with servicing and diagnostics of both European and hybrid cars.

Service and Repairs
We can do a wide range of servicing for all makes and models, including European and hybrid cars.
We also do mechanical repairs, pre-purchase inspections, and Warrant of Fitness (WOF) inspections.
We also offer two service packages, detailed below, for routine servicing. Please contact us for your vehicle specific pricing.

Our Recommended Service Guide
- Vehicles less than 5 years old: a full service every 15,000 km or 12 months
- Vehicles 5 years and older used on longer trips: a full service every 10,000 km or 12 months
- Older vehicles used frequently for town driving and short trips: a lube service every 5,000 km or 6 months
We recommend you service your vehicle regularly to help reduce your long term running costs, improve performance and ensure your safety whilst limiting your risk of an unexpected and inconvenient breakdown.
Standard service
- Replace engine oil & oil filter (extra charges may apply dependant on make and model of vehicle)
- Grease and lube suspension as required
- Check and fill transmission and driveline levels
- Check and fill brake fluid and power steer levels
- Check radiator coolant and radiator cap
- Check air filter and battery
- Check wiper blades
- Top up washer fluid
- Check fan belts and hoses
- Check operation of all lights
- Check tyre pressures
Full service
- All items in the Standard Service, plus…
- Check suspension and remove road wheels
- Visually inspect brakes for wear (removal of drums included)
- Clean and adjust brakes, reset handbrake
- Driveline and CV boot inspection
- Rotate tyres if required
- Check spark plugs
- Check HT leads and fuel filter
- Road test to 50 kph
Pre-purchase inspections
We can provide you with an independent report about the vehicle's condition and safety at the time of purchase.
We will also give you an overview of any recommended repairs or potential WOF issues.
The pre-purchase inspection report will not be able to tell you about:
- Hidden defects
- Intermittent problems
- Problems which become apparent after the inspection; or
- Problems which cannot be identified on a visual inspection or without parts of the vehicle being dismantled.

Where is Epsom Automotive located?
We're at 529 Manukau Road, Epsom, Auckland 1023, behind the BP service station. An easy trip from Remuera, Newmarket, One Tree Hill, Mount Eden and Onehunga.
What are your opening hours?
We're open Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm. We're closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
Do I need to book, or can I just turn up?
We recommend booking ahead to ensure we have the right amount of time to work on your vehicle — especially if you need a courtesy car. Call us on 09 630 6694 or send a booking enquiry and we'll come back to you to confirm.
Do you do WOF inspections?
Yes. We carry out Warrant of Fitness inspections, and we can take care of any repairs needed to get your vehicle through at the same time.
Do you service European, hybrid and electric cars?
Yes. The workshop is equipped with current diagnostic scanning technology and we're experienced with servicing and diagnostics on all makes and models, including European, hybrid and electric vehicles.
Do you have courtesy cars?
Yes, courtesy cars can be booked subject to availability. Please let us know when you book so we can reserve one for you.
How often should I service my car?
As a general guide: every 15,000 km or 12 months for vehicles under 5 years old; every 10,000 km or 12 months for vehicles 5 years and older doing longer trips; and every 5,000 km or 6 months for older vehicles used mainly for short town trips. We'll confirm the right interval for your specific vehicle.
How much does a service cost?
Pricing depends on the make, model and age of your vehicle and which service package you need. Give us a call on 09 630 6694 with your vehicle details and we'll give you a price before any work starts.
